It has built a 2.6-kilometer rail option to allow advancement of high speed works
Among the works of high-speed section of the Good Life Colada-Murcia includes the construction of a new station in Beniel, which will go live tomorrow, December 15.
The station will provide essential services such as railway ticketing and information for static and megafónica travelers commuter line C-1, Murcia-Alicante.
The rail terminal is located east of the town, in an area bounded on the south by railroad tracks and east by housing Crossing Street side of the Kingdom.
Moreover, it has executed a rail option 2.6 kilometers in length to allow progress in the works of high-speed platform in the municipality of Beniel.
The stretch of the Good Life Colada-Murcia (7.9 km), with an investment of 48.4 million euros, runs through the provinces of Alicante (2.5 km) and Murcia (5.2 km), by the towns of Orihuela and Murcia Beniel.
Features of the new station Beniel
The final disposition of the new station will consist Beniel:
A rectangular main building of 43 x 15.9 m, consisting of a 208 m2 hall, toilets and facilities for local and railway uses.
Two main roads with two symmetrical terraces of 210 m long and 6 m wide, equipped with a canopy of 43 m and connected by a footbridge equipped with lifts for access which will service, along with the platform second upon completion of the work platform section of the Good Life Colada-Murcia.

European funding
Within the Community Support Framework 2000-2006, the total aid granted by the EU to the new Madrid-Castilla La Mancha-Valencia-Murcia reached EUR 574.1 million euros from the Cohesion Fund , 127.9 million euros from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and EUR 48.2 million under TEN-T funds.
For 2007-2013, the Cohesion Fund within the Operational Programme ERDF-Cohesion Fund 2007-2013, co-financed part of the online platform to 725.8 million euros, as well as various measures of supply and installation of pathway.
The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Operational Programme of Valencia from 2007 to 2013, the platform section co-Limit Elche Murcia and installation of track and facilities Xativa-Valencia section 159.4 million euros.
Also, Operational Programmes of Castilla-La Mancha and Murcia 2007-2013 2007-2013 co-financed several sections of the platform and the supply and installation of track and facilities for an amount of 249 million euros and 67.6, respectively.
The TETN (TEN-T) co-finance the deployment of the system of European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) between Albacete and Alicante with an aid of 4.4 million euros.
The European Investment Bank also participates in the financing of this project.
