The Director General of Telecommunications and Information Technology, José Francisco Puche, accompanied by the mayor of Beniel, Roberto García, today the actions of the initiative "Digital Crossroads Beniel ', among which is the installation of various electronic panels municipal information.
"This is a display system for communication bet through panels that offer information to residents about the various services provided by the City Council with the aim of bringing information to the public interest and to publicize the activities "said Puche.
Two of the seven screens are installed in the City Council, four are located in the Plaza Hispanidad, the municipal pool, the Social Centre and the Cultural Center of the municipality, and the latter is traveling.
This initiative developed by the Ministry of Economy and Finance through the Directorate General of Telecommunications and Information Technology, along with the city, serves to bring the administration closer to citizens and to provide a quality service, savings logistics costs and streamlining of management by establishing a communication channel flexible, cost effective and efficient use of electronics, telecommunications, computing and audiovisual content for a solution.
In addition, this initiative is one of the six performances as part of the project 'Digital Crossroads Beniel' and which are also the adequacy of hardware and software systems in the municipal offices including the deployment of a Municipal Wireless Network (WIN) to service of citizens.
Another action is the implementation of the initiative 'Beniel 2.0', which consists of several municipal portals dedicated to seniors, sports, education, digital libraries, associations and history, among others, the to promote the use of e-government and streamlining efforts with the City.
To this end, the platform launched tele-assistance, the folder of the citizen, contractor profile and supplier e-Security platform and a local intranet.
Moreover, in order to promote the use of ICT as an economic engine of the municipality, the project has a directory of businesses and services, as well as a portal for job search.
It also includes actions to promote the use of 'e-Invoice' and dynamism of information technology in SMEs.
In addition, this initiative is committed to training with the development of the project 'Alfadi' digital literacy aimed at older people, companies and professionals, and creating a social network of the municipality itself.
Funding for this project is provided by the Autonomous Community of the European Union through FEDER funds and the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce under the Electronic Digital Cities Program under the Avanza Plan, along with the City of Beniel.
