Beniel City Council has completed the second of three actions aimed at increasing the area available for parking in the municipality.
Since last Friday, a new space with more than 70 parking spaces has been opened to the public. The Department of Works and Services has completed this project located in the South Urbanization.
The City Council and ADIF established an agreement in November 2019 to proceed with the transfer of some land near the train track, which due to the change in route is no longer used by the railway administration. Thanks to this agreement, the City Council has been able to transform this space, enabling more than 2,500 square meters of public parking, which include spaces for people with reduced mobility.
The mayor, Mª Carmen Morales, stressed that "from the local administration we continue to work for the well-being of the neighbors, responding to their needs." In this new space, a recreational area has also been created, with the installation of geronto-gymnastics equipment and it is planned to develop more spaces for citizens. function { ;(, , {});}
