The mayor of Beniel, M� Carmen Morales, received this morning in a telematic event the award for the second most recycler municipality in the Region of Murcia.
The event has been organized jointly by the General Directorate of the Environment and Mar Menor, the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia and Ecoembes. Beniel has been recognized for the first time as the town that has experienced the greatest increase in the amount of light packaging recycled correctly, a percentage increase above the regional average.� Within the framework of the "Recycling Awards" contest, the town has been awarded this second place and a check for 5,000 euros, which will be used for actions to continue improving selective waste collection and children's areas.
