The Beniel City Council, through the Department of Citizen Participation, has established the Municipal Council for Children and Adolescents, made up of young people from the municipality.
This is a project included in the UNICEF initiative "Child Friendly Cities". To create this body, the educational centers of the town made a proposal that boys and girls from the 5th and 6th grade of primary school should participate in it.
On March 6, before the "Alarm State", a meeting was organized with them where the Municipal Council for Children and Adolescents was created in Beniel.During this month of April, this body has continued to meet electronically to address and advance the situation of children and adolescents in the municipality, as well as their demands, needs and new ideas for the future. Work has also been done on the five most important children's rights, proposing a debate so that each one could express their point of view, as well as what community participation is for them. The objective of the Municipal Council is to be able to know first-hand the opinion of this age group for carrying out activities, counting on their ideas and concerns. We want to thank everyone for your participation and enthusiasm!1- What is the body for child and adolescent participation? It is a structure made up of children and adolescents who live in a locality, where their proposals, ideas and concerns are taken into account by the Local Government.
