For the fourth consecutive year, the IV Pedro García Ruiz Memorial was held, a competition promoted by the Beniel Cycling Club and which has not stopped growing since its launch.
On this occasion and thanks to the collaboration between different sports entities, the IV Memorial has been the last stage of the II Challenge Junior Tour of the Region of Murcia.
This historic event, which had disappeared from the official competition calendar, has resurfaced thanks to the collaboration between Ciclos Sarabia, Valverde Team-Terra Fecundis and the Beniel Cycling Club, with the support of the City of Beniel and other entities such as the Cycling Federation.
The last stage has been a great success of participation with the registration of about 200 runners who have enjoyed the itinerary of the test, a complete circuit that has combined the urban with the mountain roads.
This demanding competition has ended with the goal step of all participants.
The Mayor of Beniel has presented the prizes to the different winners of all modalities after continuing the competition with the Councilor for Sports.
During the delivery Mari Carmen Morales has highlighted the great work of the clubs involved, as well as that of the different security forces that have worked in full coordination.
Morales has stressed the great commitment of the municipality with the sport that he has assured "will continue to bring great joys to our town."
