The Department of Services and Works has initiated an action plan before the forecast issued by the Spanish Meteorological Agency, which warns of the possibility of heavy rains during Tuesday at different points in the Region of Murcia.
Given this information, the Department of Works has implemented a series of measures with the objective of favoring the drainage in the municipality.
During the last days an extensive cleaning of scuppers and sewers has been carried out, as well as a review of the state of these elements.
The municipal services have also confirmed the perfect state of operation of the local treatment plant.
The City Council of Beniel has also informed through its different profiles in social networks and web page of the alert issued by the AEMET, so that the residents of the municipality know this information and can be alert to possible rains.
The Mayor, Mari Carmen Morales, stressed that "from the Consistory we intend to be prepared to face the consequences of possible rains with the implementation of these actions, safety is a priority."
