More than 300 people have joined the concentration convened by the family of the child
The town of Beniel has joined again to support Laura and the family of the child who lost his life last week at the hands of his father.
In these hard times the neighbors of the municipality have wanted to join the concentration that the family has convened this morning in the Ramón y Cajal square.
During the act Carolina Arce, a spokesman for the family, read a statement and three minutes of silence have been kept in memory of Cristian.
Mari Carmen Morales, mayor of the municipality, as well as the vice president of the Regional Government, Isabel Franco and the second vice president of the Regional Assembly, Gloria Alarcón, friend of the family, were present at this event.
Moments prior to the concentration have held a meeting with Laura to convey all their support from the different institutions.
Carolina Arce said to the more than 300 neighbors present that "this concentration has been called at Laura's request to thank you for the strength and encouragement you have shown us throughout these days."
With these words began reading the statement in which he also warned that "something fails in our society for events like this to occur."
Carolina Arce said in the statement that "something is wrong in our society for events like this to occur"
In a vindictive tone the spokeswoman has warned that "society has to acquire sufficient awareness to join us in a struggle that is not only of the families that we go through these hard times, but of the whole society."
To close the act he has recited a fragment of a song by Cristian's favorite group, Damn Nerea.
"My heartbeats sound in your heart, I will be behind you, look at me behind you. And they sound only with an intention, that they hug you when you don't find me as if you could see me."
The event was also attended by different councilors of the local Corporation, as well as other municipalities.
Among other authorities they have moved to Beniel to participate in the concentration Diego Conesa, Juan Luis Soto, and Joaquín López.
After the three minutes of silence, the neighbors gathered in the Ramón y Cajal Square have offered a loud and big applause to the family to once again reiterate their support for this difficult situation.
CONCENTRATION COMMUNICATE:
Good morning, and on behalf of Laura and that of the whole family, thank you for joining us this morning.
We have summoned this concentration at Laura's request to be able to thank you for the support, strength and encouragement that you have shown us throughout these days that have been and are being so hard, days in which we have had to say goodbye to Cristian.
Cristian, our little Cristian, who has been taken from us, leaving a great void in our souls and in our hearts.
But in the midst of that pain there all of you and you have been, with your hugs and words of encouragement.
We have felt the warmth of our people, of our friends, of our neighbors, a town that has united to our pain.
Cristian, our Cristian, cheerful, funny, who loved to dance and who we will always remember with his eternal smile, and that we will always carry in our hearts.
Something fails in our society for events like this to occur.
Since 2013, 29 children have died victims of gender violence.
We must unite as a people, as a society, and together we fight so that situations like this do not happen again.
That no other family has to live such a great pain, that we acquire enough consciousness to join in a struggle that is not only of the families that we go through these hard times, but of the whole society.
That among all of us we can eradicate this scourge that is gender violence.
And to remember our Cristian, I want to close with a fragment of a song by Damn Nerea, his favorite group, that says:
“My heartbeats sound in your heart
I will be behind you
Look at me behind you
And they sound only with one intention
that they hug you when you don't find me as if you could see me. â€
YOU WILL ALWAYS BE WITH US CHRIST.
Then we will keep 3 minutes of silence in memory of Cristian.
