The Exhibition Space Plan launched by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture with the aim of promoting the work of the creators of the Region takes the work of Jumillano Antonio Martínez Tomás to Beniel.
The Cultural Center Infanta Cristina welcomes today (at 21:00 hours) the opening of the photographic exhibition 'The magic of the night'.
Martínez Tomás explores in his works the great amount of creative possibilities offered by night and darkness when taking photographs.
And he does so by playing with long expositions in which he paints with light or illuminates some elements of photography with the different objective of capturing reality or moving away from it, creating new spaces that come directly from the imagination.
A sample of the work that this creator does can now be seen in Beniel, where photographs of real spaces are shown, others totally invented, as well as images in which the stage is completed with effects achieved with the light painting technique to create, for example, characters or generate a certain environment.
'The magic of the night' will remain open until next November 21 and can be visited from Monday to Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Fridays, from 9: 30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Within this second edition of exhibition spaces, there are a total of 56 samples that throughout 2018 can be seen in rooms of some thirty municipalities with which we collaborate from Culture to expand the cultural offer and disseminate the work they do the Murcia creators.
The Exhibition Space Plan is open to all artists who have already started their careers and allows us to show the great variety of proposals that, within contemporary art, we can find in the Region of Murcia.
This year a total of 138 artists were presented, of which 70 were finally selected.
