Sermubeniel, the company in charge of water service, cleaning, collection of solids and equipment, and maintenance of parks and gardens, has collaborated with fifteen young unemployed with the aim of teaching sustainable irrigation techniques and efficiency in water consumption for maintenance of gardens.
This activity is part of the Joint Employment and Training Program of the youth guarantee system of "Beniel Espacio Verde II", subsidized by the Regional Employment and Training Service.
The municipal company has provided the necessary resources for the development of practices aimed at young people learning everything they need in the sector of gardening.
Tools, vehicles and personnel have been provided for these fifteen young people to carry out their plantations and reforestations in different areas of the municipality.
The staff of Sermubeniel has also contributed with their experience so that the vegetation and the type of plants are the most suitable for the land and that the gardens need the minimum amount of water for their growth, development and maintenance.
The actions have been carried out in different parks, in municipal spaces such as the JuBEN center, the Day Center and the Institute.
They also carried out actions on the river mote for the restoration of the riparian forest among other works.
Sermubeniel is a company with a strong social commitment and always open to collaborate with its neighbors.
That is why in addition to its contribution to this gardening course, it also has other initiatives underway such as the school support program for Beniel's children, the subsidized rates for large families and pensioners and the Social Fund, which helps those people who can not afford to pay their bills for drinking water.
