At the end of the year and having made all the payments since the municipal intervention, the budget result is € 355,709.18, which is known as surplus.
In addition, the treasury surplus was € 1,393,070.39.
The execution of last year's budget (2017) exceeds 95%, therefore, the mayor of the municipality, Mari Carmen Morales highlights that "from the government team we are very satisfied with the high level of budget execution of 2017, highlighting that one of the highest percentages corresponds to the investment chapter with 97% ".
With the remaining treasury of this 2017, the City of Beniel intends to reduce part of the financial debt, which will entail the reduction of bank interest.
In addition, Beniel is among the municipalities whose average payment period is one of the lowest in the region, with an average of 13 days for suppliers to receive payment of their bills.
The local government councilor has insisted that "an important part that we can not ignore is that the municipality has complied with the expenditure rule, which we believe should be modified by the Ministry of Finance, because it limits the development of the municipality by suffocating municipalities".
