"The Popular Party complies with the Beniel bypass towards Cartagena", said the spokesman of the PP in the Congress, Teodoro García, on Friday afternoon, after learning that ADIF has tendered the drafting of the project for the connection between the High-speed line and the line of Cartagena.

He also said that with this project "Cartagena is connected directly with the rest of Spain, as promised Minister Iñigo de la Serna."

"It is thus achieved to unlock another important project for the Region of Murcia, just one day after the President of the Government of Spain, Mariano Rajoy, received the head of the regional executive, Fernando López Miras", remarked Teodoro García.

The popular deputy explained that the project includes the construction, in the vicinity of El Reguerón, of a connection branch (4km) between the high-speed line Monforte del Cid-Murcia and the conventional Chinchilla-Cartagena.

The PP national deputy believes that "in this way the port city will be directly connected with the rest of Spain and will have a first-class infrastructure, thanks to the demands and work we do from Madrid, which means giving an important boost to the railroad in the Region of Murcia ".

In the same way it has affirmed that "all this is possible thanks to the Central Government and the autonomic Executive that watch and work by the interests of the Region of Murcia".

So stressed that Cartagena is the beneficiary on this occasion of this project, a city, has insisted "with the most important port of the Region of Murcia and soon the entire Mediterranean."

"The activity in the port of Cartagena does not stop increasing thanks to the policies that we are promoting from the PP," García said, recalling that "now it is necessary to strengthen the infrastructures that allow connecting the port, the city of Cartagena and its inhabitants with the rest of Spain. "

For all this, Teodoro García has insisted that from the PP "we will continue fulfilling commitments and reclaiming what our land needs", and he recalled that "there are already many good news that leave without arguments those who always criticize everything".

In this regard, he has urged the opposition to congratulate the Government of Spain, the Minister of Development and President López Miras for having managed to start the burying of the train tracks that "will allow to finish with some surface roads that have been dividing to the city for more than 150 years. "

He has also insisted on congratulating the PP government for "promoting this direct connection of the city of Cartagena with the rest of Spain, which has been a historic demand and that the PP today makes possible."

And he concluded by noting that "we will work together with the Ministry of Development in favor of the improvement of railway infrastructure, which the PSOE stopped, as the Camarillas variant, or relegated to a second plane, in the case of the burying of roads" .
