The City Council of Beniel joins the project "Libera", an initiative whose objective is to keep natural spaces free of garbage (09/09/2019)

Beniel City Council joins the "Libera" project, an initiative born in 2017 with the aim of curbing the consequences of abandoned garbage in natural areas.

This action has three main axes: knowledge, prevention and citizen participation.

In an integral way, all the areas involved to reach a sustainable planet are addressed.

The Department of Environment has organized in collaboration with "Libera" a garbage collection on the beach of Los Urrutias on September 28, which coincides with the performance "Libera 1m2 for beaches and seas."

The objective is that, in the form of a coordinated week, volunteers and organizations throughout Spain carry out a global collection that has a greater environmental and media impact.

This initiative will continue in the coming months with new garbage collection around the Segura River.

On September 28 at 09:00 a free bus will leave from Ramón y Cajal square to Los Urrutias beach.

The transfer of all the materials necessary to make this collection, such as gloves, water and garbage bags, has also been managed.

It is estimated that at noon the performance will end.

Your participation is essential to achieve a cleaner and more sustainable world.
